Kia Asia Pacific marked a key milestone with the 2024 Kia EV Day, showcasing its growing commitment to sustainable mobility. This event, following the success of the 2023 global Kia EV Day, highlighted Kia’s latest market-ready and concept EVs in Taiwan.

The 2024 event emphasized Kia’s shift towards electric mobility, building on the 2021 rebrand and its goal to lead the EV revolution. Notable displays included the Kia EV3, launching in select Asia Pacific markets in 2025, and the new Concept PV5, alongside the Concept EV4.

The Kia EV3, a compact EV SUV, incorporates flagship EV9 technology and adopts Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. With a boxy rear, sloping roofline, and robust stance, the EV3 aims to enhance EV accessibility in the Asia Pacific market. Built on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), it features Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control (eDTVC) and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

The Concept EV4, embodying the ‘Power to Progress’ philosophy, blends earth-inspired aesthetics with cutting-edge technology, offering a modern luxury sedan. The Concept PV5, Kia’s first Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV), redefines mobility with customizable designs for business, logistics, and personal use.
The flagship Kia EV9, which has won multiple global awards, was also showcased. Kia aims to expand its EV lineup at various price points, increase hybrid and PBV offerings, and stabilize EV production with six global manufacturing sites by 2025.
