Honda Recalls Select CR-V Units

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has always prioritized the safety and well-being of its customers, ensuring that every Honda vehicle on the road meets the highest standards of reliability and safety. In line with this commitment, HCPI has announced a proactive recall for select vehicle units to address two critical concerns: the High-Pressure Fuel Pump issue and the Steering Gearbox snagging. This initiative underscores HCPI’s dedication to maintaining trust and delivering peace of mind to its customers.

HCPI has identified potential cracks on the Core B of the High-Pressure Fuel Pump in select CR-V RS e:HEV E-CVT units from model years 2023 to 2024. These cracks could lead to the emission of gasoline fumes, causing customers to detect a gasoline odor while idling or driving. To address this, HCPI is offering a thorough inspection of all 1,351 affected units. Necessary repairs or replacements will be conducted free of charge. Customers are encouraged to contact their nearest Honda dealership or service center to schedule an appointment.

Additionally, a recall pertains to the Steering Gearbox, flagged for issues such as snagging, unusual sounds, and vibrations while turning. This problem arises from a decrease in grease within the worm gear’s meshing area of the Electric Power Steering Gearbox, potentially leading to an unsmooth, “sticky” steering experience. HCPI has identified 5,505 affected units, and all replacement parts and labor costs will be free of charge.

HCPI emphasizes the importance of immediate action for affected customers. Customers should check their vehicle’s status through HCPI’s website or by contacting their nearest Honda dealership. If affected, they can arrange a visit to their preferred service center. HCPI remains committed to addressing potential issues proactively to ensure a safe and confident driving experience for all Honda drivers. For further assistance or inquiries, customers may contact HCPI’s customer service hotline or their trusted Honda dealership.
