BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility have achieved a major milestone in the country’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) market, selling 4,780 units and securing an 82% market share in 2024.
With 2,078 units of the Seagull, Dolphin, Atto 3, T3, Seal, Han, and Tang sold, BYD also led the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) segment with a 69% share. The BYD Sealion 6 DM-i was the top-selling model, with 2,669 units sold, capturing 19% of the NEV and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) market from July to December.
BYD’s sales soared by 8,900% in 2024, ranking it as the 11th best-selling car brand in the country with a 1% market share, surpassing several established competitors. Globally, BYD also set a record, selling over 4.27 million NEVs, a 41.26% increase from 2023, making it the Global NEV Market Sales Champion.

Best-Selling Models Powering Growth
- BYD Sealion 6 DM-i: Led the compact SUV segment with a 14.6% market share in 2024.
- BYD Atto 3: Sold 1,062 units, holding a 35% share in the BEV subcompact crossover segment.
- BYD Seagull: Sold 411 units, capturing 38% of the BEV segment in Q4 and 14% for the full year.
Expanding Nationwide
BYD aggressively expanded its dealership network from two locations to 25 by the end of 2024, with 52 new dealer locations approved for 2025. The ongoing BYD Tech Tour and upcoming model launches aim to sustain growth in the Philippine market.
